Julie was pleased to attend the prestigious annual Tiffin Cup awards in Parliament to cheer on Goa Exemplary Indian Cuisine in the final.

The Tiffin Cup is a celebration of the best South Asian restaurants in the UK and to raise money for charity. This year, money was raised for WaterAid and WorldVision.

At the event, Julie said:

“I am delighted that Goa Exemplary Indian Cuisine was voted the best South Asian restaurant in the North East. The restaurant was nominated for this award by Sunderland Central constituents and the judges clearly agreed with them about the quality of food that they offer. The restaurant and all of its staff are wonderful representatives for our city and I would also like to thank everyone back home who has been supportive of them in this competition.”
