Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
This week I was honoured to meet 22-year-old Zack Kerr -; who has launched a campaign to make accessible changing facilities available at every UK motorway service station.
Zack has cerebral palsy, which affects his limbs and speech, however he communicates via a touch screen speech machine and uses an electric wheelchair to get around.
He is also a formidable campaigner for disability rights and, this week, travelled to Westminster to collect further signatures for his Changing Place Campaign petition.
Sadly, there are very few appropriate/accessible changing facilities for people such as Zack on UK motorway routes and I wish him the very best of luck in securing change through his campaign.
