In her role as the Chair of the PLP Housing and Planning Committee, Julie, along with Shadow Housing Minister, the Rt Hon John Healey MP, visited the Gentoo Group’s Doxford Park renewal site and the Haddington Vale supported housing scheme. Julie also attended the Group’s board meeting and spoke with Gentoo Group Chairman, Ian Self.

Following the visit, Julie said:

“Gentoo, like all housing associations, is facing difficult times ahead. However, I am very impressed and encouraged by what I have seen today. As I have said many times, since becoming the main social landlord in our city, Gentoo has done fantastic work in Sunderland and I am confident that this will continue.”
