Today in Parliament I’m joining with my Labour colleagues to call on the Government to pause and fix the flawed Universal Credit system.

It’s a disgrace that people are having to wait more than six weeks for their first payment. 

This is causing significant financial difficulty, with many people likely to go into rent arrears. 

It’s vital that the Government addresses these problems before millions more are pushed into poverty.
