It’s Eating Disorder Awareness this week – so I’m showing my support for the #DumpTheScales campaign.

#DumpTheScales is campaigning to stop people from being turned away from treatment because their BMI is not low enough.

Early intervention is key for treatment, and for the 1.25million people that suffer from eating disorders in the UK, the services need to be better prepared and better staffed.

I spoke about this issue during the Queen’s Speech debate on Health and Social Care, and am going to continue campaigning on this until we get the services that those suffering desperately need.
