Bosses at Sunderland Foodbank have launched an urgent appeal for help – following fears for its busiest summer ever, with increased food bank need during school holidays.

The food bank provided 2,771 three day emergency food supplies to people in need over the past financial year. Of these, 1,245 went to children. No child should ever have to go hungry.
