Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
Delighted to visit Sunderland Community Hub’s new Boxing Club this week – along with Cllr Graeme Miller and Kim McGuiness, Labour’s candidate for Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner.
This fantastic facility, based at the city’s Central Fire Station, has been launched by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service to tackle the issue of anti-social behaviour through sport.
Funded by East Area Committee, from Millfield and Barnes Community Chest, the aim of the project is to help young people become champions both in the ring – and in real life.
This is a wonderful project and I wish everyone involved the very best of luck. You have my full support.
