This week I was honoured to sign an Early Day Motion aimed at helping women born in the 1950s – including thousands here in Sunderland – who have been unfairly affected by Tory changes to pensions.

It is time for the Government to listen and act on this injustice. It is totally unacceptable that women who have worked hard, and saved all their lives, should be left facing financial hardship.

I will continue to fight for their right to the secure retirement they deserve. #WASPI
