There are 16,848 people living with diabetes in Sunderland Central. For them, diabetes doesn’t stop. It means checks and decisions every single day. And then there’s tomorrow, next week, next year.

When getting through each day becomes a struggle, people need the right emotional support to help them deal with diabetes. Too often that support is missing – and this has to change.

This month Diabetes UK is launching a campaign to improve the provision of mental health care for people living with diabetes.
