This week in Parliament I questioned Nick Hurd, Minister for Policing, on what effects leaving the European Union might have on the relationship between British police and their EU counterparts.

I was seeking firm assurances for the future, but he merely said there was ‘strong EU interest’ in continuing to work closely with the UK to maintain current capabilities ‘as far as possible’.

I wanted facts and figures but received none. I will continue to keep pushing for answers.
