I very much enjoyed visiting Venerable Bede Academy at Ryhope today, where I spoke at the School Council assembly about working in politics.

I also met with members of the School Council Board, including the Head Boy and Girl, to chat about politics in general – where the pupils expressed their concerns for the future following Brexit.

The students were a pleasure to chat to and a real credit to their school.
