This week in Parliament it was an honour to join dozens of women politicians from around the globe at a landmark event to mark the centenary of women winning the right to vote in the UK.
The first ever Women MPs of the World Conference was held in the House of Commons Chamber and it was a privilege to be part of such an historic event. I met many, many inspirational women today.
Just 100 years ago women in the UK were unable to vote, or even watch from the public gallery in Parliament. Now, however, elected women around the world are shaping the political agenda.
