The launch of @heartukcharity‘s ‘State of the Nation: CVD’ report has highlighted the need for cardiovascular disease to be prioritised within long-term NHS plans.

This disease is responsible for 26% of all deaths in the UK – around 160,000 per year.

I would encourage the Government to look at the report’s recommendations and give the disease its due prioritisation within the health system. #HeartHealth
