School visit to debate politics

I was delighted to visit St Paul’s C.E. Primary School at Ryhope this week, as part of the Parliament Education Service – North East Outreach Programme.

I very much enjoyed answering questions about parliament and my work as an MP during the event, and it was also exciting to watch the Year 6 pupils in their debate.

It was a pleasure to meet so many staff and pupils, and I was impressed by the enthusiasm shown by all throughout my visit.
