I was honoured to host the annual Premiership Rugby awards in Parliament this week – which recognise the hard work of players, coaches and volunteers both on, and off, the pitch.
Sport has an amazing power to bring communities together. It can be harnessed as a tool for good not just on the pitch, but also in education, health, employment and other areas.
The stories of those involved in Premiership Rugby’s community programmes are inspirational. They deserve to be recognised, and praised, for all their achievements.
