Parliamentary Sports Fair

Julie visited the Parliamentary Sports Fair this afternoon to show support for the RFU in her capacity as Chair of the Rugby Union APPG.

The event, which took place on Speaker's Green in 31°C heat, gave parliamentarians the opportunity to chat to national governing bodies of sport, have a go at some fun outdoor activities and see how you can support local grassroots sport.

At the event, Julie said:

"It was wonderful to speak with the RFU and other rugby fans to discuss their vision for getting people involved in playing the sport.

As well as discipline, playing rugby offers great positive effects for our health and I hope that more people will start playing this fantastic sport."
