Along with fellow Labour MPs and representatives from Trade Unions, Julie attended a #SaveOurSteel rally in Parliament to show her support for steelworkers from all over the UK, hundreds of whom had travelled down to London for the march.

At the event, Julie said, “I am proud to stand with Labour colleagues and fellow trade unionists to show our support for the steelworkers and the steel industry at a time of great uncertainty. It is time that the Government responded to the steel crisis and stood up for these workers.”
