Rolls-Royce today announced that they are committing over £30m to create a new manufacturing facility at their Washington facility.

“The facility at Pallion is over 60 years old but it will be a sad day when it closes in 2019.  I’m pleased that Rolls-Royce are investing this money at their Washington plant, retaining skills from the Pallion facility – it’s a vote of confidence for our great city.”
