Yesterday, Julie joined thousands of others to support Sunderland’s largest and best known celebration of equality and diversity.

The event, which is getting bigger each year, started with a parade from the through the city centre followed by several hours of live music and entertainment.  The event was enjoyed by all in attendance and Julie stressed how much she supported the goals of Sunderland Pride:

“I wholeheartedly support equality of opportunity and believe that discrimination of any kind should be challenged head on.

“Sunderland Pride is a great way of engaging people on these issues whilst also celebrating all things great about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life.”
