From today, Sun FM are inviting businesses to up-load their current job vacancies to a site they have launched, free of charge.  The site is the face of their ‘A Million Pounds Worth of Work for Wearside’ campaign and, perhaps unsurprisingly, aims to generate over £1million worth of employment on Wearside.

Julie praised the ingenuity of the campaign:

“I obviously welcome any scheme that aims to boost employment in and around Sunderland.  However, I believe the Sun FM campaign is worthy of particular praise because of the innovative way in which it aims to match jobs with job seekers whilst minimising the costs to firms wishing to advertise those positions.”  

Managing Director of Sun FM Julian Carter says:

“As the biggest radio station on Wearside we are trying to tackle some of the biggest challenges faced by the people of Sunderland, together we aim to provide more motivation and opportunities for them.”
