Julie attends Labour North Conference in Newcastle

Julie attended the annual Labour North conference at the Centre for Life in Newcastle. The event was an opportunity for local members to discuss a variety of matters from local government funding to the NHS.

The well-attended event was also an opportunity for members to discuss the upcoming EU Referendum which will take place on 23rd June 2016. Labour's North East MEPs, Jude Kirton-Darling MEP and Paul Brannen MEP were in attendance to promote the Labour IN for Britain campaign and highlight the benefits that the EU offers our region.

Julie said: "It is always great to hear from local party members and hear what they feel is important. This year at the Labour North conference, there was an overwhelming amount of support for remaining in the EU. Our local MEPs, Jude and Paul, do wonderful work for our region and I look forward to working with them on the Labour IN for Britain campaign."
