Nissan’s warning this week that a hard Brexit will have “serious implications” for the car-maker’s Sunderland factory should set alarm bells ringing.

What Nissan needs is certainty about the future of the conditions that they will be operating in. To leave a deal to this late stage is negligent on the Government’s part.
