Julie spoke during a debate on the Energy Bill.

Following her speech, Julie said:

“This Bill is, amongst other things, an attack on the UK’s clean energy sector, particularly onshore wind. Sadly, this Bill will do next to nothing to help people struggling to pay their energy bills.

This Bill also threatens a £3 million investment Nissan in Sunderland is hoping to make, to extend its onshore wind development. I asked the Secretary of State to urgently look into this, so that we can see the investment go ahead.”
