Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
Julie spoke in today’s Business, Innovation and Skills Questions on three separate topics.
Firstly, Julie asked the Secretary of State, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of availability of broadband to businesses in the North East. 18% of SMEs throughout the country will still lack broadband provision by 2017. She also asked how the Government is going to provide the physical infrastructure to ensure that Britain is at the forefront for digital innovation in business.
In topical questions, Julie asked the Secretary of State if he agreed with her that Britain’s membership of the European Union is vital for British trade, particularly in the automotive and aerospace industries.
