Julie is pleased to support The Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Awareness Week which takes place between 15 and 21 May.

The aim of #DAW16 is to ‘Confront Dementia’ and encourage people to address dementia directly. A large number of families in Sunderland Central have been affected by dementia and it is important that both those who live with dementia and their loved ones feel able to confront dementia.

On the week, Julie said:

“I am proud to support Dementia Awareness Week this year. I, like many, have seen the devastation that dementia can cause families and it is so important to raise awareness. Nobody living with dementia should have to face it alone.”
