Julie chaired a Keynote Seminar at the Westminster Education Forum’s Event at London Bridge on Reforming maths qualifications in England – GCSEs, A-Levels, core maths and compulsory courses post-16.

During the seminar, members of the panel discussed the impact of Government changes to mathematics courses on teachers and pupils, what progress had been made so far and what would be the future challenges for the education system.

Summing up the event, Julie said, “It is clear from the discussions that the panel have had today that it is crucial that there is stability for pupils, parents and teachers. I am concerned by some of the things I have heard this morning. Our teachers do a wonderful job in moulding the lives of young children and I hope that they are allowed to create educational environments where young people can thrive.”
