Julie was pleased to meet with the School and Nursery Milk Alliance to discuss the ways in which we can help increase the provision and uptake of milk to all children. 

This is an issue of deep concern to Julie who is a Vice Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood.

Following the meeting, Julie said:

“I was glad to meet with Dr Hilary and hear his views at a time of uncertainty. I share Dr Hilary’s concerns about the future of the EU School Milk Scheme following the outcome of the referendum and this is an issue that I will raise with the Government.”
