A popular art project is to be extended across the city -; much to the delight of Wearside MP Julie Elliott.

Arts Council England has pledged another £1million towards Cultural Spring, a project aimed at encouraging participation in the arts, and the project will now run until 2020.

“I am delighted that the Cultural Spring has had its funding extended,” said Julie, MP for Sunderland Central.

“All involved in the project have done a fantastic job so far and I am sure they will carry on their brilliant work into 2020.”

  • Over the next three years Cultural Spring will work in five new wards in Sunderland – Hendon, Millfield, Pallion, Sandhill and St Anne’s. See more at: http://theculturalspring.org.uk/news/funding-extended-to-2020/
