Standing up for Sunderland's emergency services - now and in the future

Working with local campaigners to save Sunderland Central Fire Station from closure is one of my proudest achievements as MP for the area.

Together with local residents I worked hard to gather 34,000 signatures for the ‘Save Our Station’ petition.

It was wonderful to see our city coming together and uniting in opposition to the station closure. I’m delighted that the Fire Authority did right by the people of Sunderland and scrapped plans to close the station, making our city safer for the future.

Our emergency services are under threat from the Tories and I will always fight their corner, but to do that I need your vote on June 8th. If you would also like to help out with my campaign, give me a call on 07516938534.
