I came across these brave souls during a trip to the beach on New Year’s Day – and just had to stop and chat.

It may have been a lovely winter’s day, but I bet it felt freezing as the staff from Sunderland Royal Hospital took a dip in the sea.

It was all for a good cause though – as they were raising money for the obstetrics and gynaecology department. A huge “well done” to you all!!
