Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
This week in Parliament I attended an event to raise awareness of WWF’s Earth Hour.
Earth Hour is the world’s largest event to protect the planet and takes place at 8.30-9.30pm on Saturday 24 March.
Landmarks around the world including the Taj Mahal and Buckingham Palace will switch off their lights and around eight million people in the UK are expected to take part.
I hope that we can use the event to come together to raise awareness of some of the biggest environmental challenges facing our generation.
