Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
Today I called on the Government to remove continued assessments for people with lifelong conditions that won’t improve.
I know that many disabled people rely on things like adapted vehicles, so it’s vital that these are not taken away following flawed assessments for Personal Independence Payments (PIP).
The Government needs to do much more to ensure that disabled people get the support they need to continue working and living independent lives.
That’s why I stood up in Parliament today to call on the Government to look urgently at removing the need for continued assessments for people with progressive lifelong conditions that will not improve.
