Julie officially opened the new Royal Mail Customer Service Point at Sunderland Delivery Office, Southwick riverside, which will provide much improved facilities for both staff and customers.

It was a great honour for me to open the new Customer Service Point at Sunderland Delivery Office. The new facilities are first class. The new customer service area makes collecting a parcel much more pleasant an experience for the customer with increased parking available.

Royal Mail is committed to maintaining a high quality of service to our customers in Sunderland. Customers do not need to collect their mail if they don’t want to. Royal Mail can redeliver items free of charge to their address on a preferred day including Saturday or to another address in the same postcode area.  Royal Mail can also leave items (excluding Special Delivery and international items) with a neighbour, if a customer is not at home when we try to deliver them.   

Sunderland Delivery Office is located at 9 Wearfield, Sunderland Enterprise Park, Sunderland, SR5 2TG.  The customer service point is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 07:30 to 18:00; Wednesday 07:30 to 20:00; Saturday 07:30 to 14:00 and Sunday 12:00 to 16:00.
