Julie was pleased to meet with representatives from Sunderland Youth Parliament to discuss prominent issues facing young people in the local area.

The meeting focused on mental health issues and what must be done to tackle this serious issue that is often overlooked.

Julie said, “It is always wonderful to see young people who are engaged with politics. I enjoyed meeting with some of Sunderland’s Youth Parliamentarians to discuss mental health. Many important issues were raised and noted and I look forward to liaising with Sunderland Youth Parliament over the course of the year to raise awareness on this important issue.”
