Julie, along with a number of volunteers including the local government candidate for Fulwell, Ken Richardson, spoke to residents in Fulwell this afternoon during a door-knocking session. Most weeks of the year, Labour Party volunteers and local Councillor Margaret Beck knock on doors across the ward to talk to people about their concerns.

Julie said,

“Whenever possible, I take time to speak with my constituents as I would not be able to carry out my role of representing them in Westminster if I was not aware of their concerns. Door-knocking sessions in particular mean that I can help constituents by listening to their concerns and subsequently doing all that I can as their MP to resolve any problems they may have.”
