Julie was delighted to attend the What Next? Sunderland meeting to talk to an audience of creators and makers of arts and culture in Sunderland and people who are interested in supporting what our city can do. 

Julie spoke about the impact of the UK’s decision to leave the EU on the arts, how groups such as What Next? Sunderland can get more involved to make changes in society and how we can maximise Sunderland’s potential. The discussion was lively and informative and Julie was keen to encourage all in attendance to be optimistic about what Sunderland can achieve, particularly as it bids to be the UK’s City of Culture in 2021
