Every single school in Sunderland is having its funding slashed by the Tories, some by more than half a million pounds a year which is equivalent to 14 teachers.

Less money means fewer teachers and bigger classes, jeopardising the hard work of students and teachers.

In Sunderland, Thursday’s election is about who you want to be your local MP for the next five years, fighting for important things like our children’s education.

If re-elected, I promise that one of my top priorities will be to campaign against the devastating cuts our schools face. Our children are our future – they deserve a first-class education, no ifs, no buts.

If you want an MP who will continue to stand up against unfair cuts and champion our children’s education then vote for me this Thursday 8th June. A vote for me is a vote for Sunderland’s young people.
