Following the recent disruption to the Metro service Julie has requested an urgent meeting with Nexus. 

Julie added:

“This has simply reaffirmed what we already knew to be true: the Metro is unreliable, outdated and in need of urgent investment. 

“I have written to Tobyn Hughes, Managing Director of Nexus, requesting an urgent meeting to discuss a way forward on this matter -; Sunderland and the wider region deserve a Metro system that is reliable and fit for purpose.”
