Happy 94th Birthday to World War Two veteran Randle Oliver, from Whitburn – who I was honoured to meet this week.

On this day in 1944 Randle, a member of the RAF ground crew, helped clear the way for a Typhoon squadron following D-Day actions in France.

A brave, and truly inspirational, gentleman.
