This Saturday the Red and White Army (RAWA) – an independent fan club for Sunderland AFC – will hold a collection for Sunderland Foodbank before the match against Bristol Rovers.

It is scandalous that foodbanks are such a vital necessity in 2018. Sadly, as people on low wages or benefits struggle to cope with the rising cost of bare essentials, so demand continues to grow.

The RAWA volunteers are working hard to make sure no-one in Sunderland goes hungry. Gifts of tinned fruit, fish and potatoes, as well as other food, are urgently needed. Cash donations are also welcome.
