This week I met the team from Life Skills Education Charity – who are doing great work in raising awareness of the impact of drug and alcohol misuse among young people.

The charity believes “every child deserves the right to know how to deal with the risks, know the consequences and be able to make informed decisions surrounding risky behaviours”.

It was great to have a chance to see the work that Life Skills are delivering to thousands of young people every year. This is an issue which affects each and every one of us.

By signing the #LifeSkills pledge I’m hoping to raise awareness of the charity’s early intervention drug and alcohol programme in our local community -; which helps change behaviour and enables young people to make well informed decisions throughout their life.

** I would like to encourage teachers to get in touch with Life Skills Education Charity to see how their programme can be delivered locally.
