Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
This week I took part in a “Bake a Difference” event at Westminster -; decorating cupcakes in front of MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace -; to mark the launch of Red Nose Day 2017.
Red Nose Day has raised over £1billion since it was launched in 1988, and it would be the “icing on the cake” if the amount collected this year matched -; or even exceeded -; the 2015 total of £99m.
Hundreds of good causes have been helped by Red Nose Day over the years, both here in the UK and across Africa, so -; as the Red Nose Day saying goes -; “really make your laugh matter, and help change lives” today.
