Julie visited Carilion at Deptford Terrace in Sunderland to discuss the issues relating to young people and the impact that legislation made in Westminster has on their lives.

A lively Question and Answer session ensued where apprentices got to learn more about the role of an MP, how they can be contacted and why it is important to vote.

After the visit, Julie said:

“It is important that there are quality apprenticeships for young people and I was pleased about what I heard today from the apprentices at Carillion. It is also important that young people are aware of the impact that events that take place in Westminster can have on their lives. I enjoyed the visit today and hearing from the apprentices on what is important to them and what they would like to see changed in Westminster.”
