Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
Today is the UN Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Julie attended Westminster Hall to call for an end to such violence alongside fellow Labour MPs, Kate Green MP, the Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, and Sarah Champion MP, the Shadow Minister for Preventing Abuse.
Julie said: “One in three women worldwide are beaten or experience sexual violence in their lifetime. Violence against women and girls must be prevented.”
