Over 100 people turned up to see Julie at an event organised by Christians on the Left at Sunderland Minster to discuss, “What would it be like to live in a society rather than an economy?”

Julie was joined by fellow panellists Alex Cunningham MP, the Member of Parliament for Stockton North, Andy Flannagan of Christians on the Left and Reverend Chris Howson.

Julie said, “It was fantastic that so many people turned up to this event to discuss important issues that are cruelly affecting many in our community such as the Bedroom Tax, benefits sanctions and the rise in the usage of food banks. When it comes to society vs economy, we cannot have one without the other.”
