Campaigning in Sunderland city centre with Jude Kirton-Darling MEP

Julie and Jude Kirton-Darling MEP held a street stall in Sunderland City Centre this afternoon as part of the Labour IN for Britain campaign. Julie, Jude and volunteers spoke to shoppers in Market Square about the benefits of being part of the European Union and the importance of voting to remain in the EU Referendum on 23rd June.

After the street stall event, Julie said:

"In the run-up to the referendum on 23 June, I am very keen to speak with as many people as possible in Sunderland to ensure that they are aware of the benefits of us remaining in the EU. Our membership of the European Union brings jobs, protects workers' rights, and keeps us safer."
