Julie speaks in Westminster Hall debate on Future of Clean Energy Investment

Julie spoke at a Westminster Hall debate this morning on the Future of Clear Energy Investment which had been secured by Caroline Flint MP.

Following her experience as a Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change, energy policy remains an issue that Julie is particularly passionate about and the Government has announced a number of changes in this area since the start of this Parliament.

On the Government's intended changes, Julie said:

"The situation in which we find energy policy today can perhaps be best illustrated by the grotesque chaos of clean energy developers, starved of the certainty they need, being encouraged to install diesel generates on their sites because the Government’s policies have led to the narrowest frighteningly narrow margins this winter."
