Julie Elliott MP Standing up for Sunderland Central
It was standing room only during the WASPI debate at Westminster Hall today -; and it is time for the Government to listen and act on this injustice.
Thousands of women born in the 1950s, including 3,000 in Sunderland Central constituency, have been unfairly affected by Tory changes to pensions -; leaving them heading for financial hardship.
It is totally unacceptable that women who have worked hard, and saved all their lives, should be left in this situation and I will continue to fight for their right to the secure retirement they deserve.
